I read his blog every day but rarely his column. Besides being very local by intent, it always seemed to be from the bottom of a well compared to the blog. probably all those layers and layers of editors and checkers. Even so, anybody that has even glanced at the rest of the paper has to be surprised it lasted as long as it did.
The paper’s got to be intensely boring even for the true believers.
