Literally Dodging A Bullet

It’s amazing how lucky we are that he had his head turned that way, and was scratched instead of killed like Kennedy. What chaos that would have been. Imagine the Republican convention tomorrow, when he hasn’t even named his heir in announcing his pick for VP, and no one claims to know who it is other than him. Who would be the leader of the party? Who would rise? I’d guess it would have to be Speaker Johnson. He is, after all, currently third in line for the presidency. But would he pick up the chalice, or simply supervise the process of choosing?

  1. I have been expecting/dreading something like this for way too long, and am so relieved that he survived.* Because if he hadn’t, the next few months/years would’ve been extremely unpleasant for everyone, and deadly for many, which is what the idiot Democrats saying things like “better luck next time” fail to understand.

Talk about your “Butterfly Effect” If that bullet had been just a centimeter closer, this would be a different, more horrible world right now. And the Progressive Democrat Left doesn’t care.

    * I’ve always wondered what sort of effect George Wallace would’ve had if his injuries hadn’t ended his campaign in 1972. He represented a large Democrat constituency that went to Nixon. (McGovern-Wallace?) If the goal was to eliminate a candidacy, Bremer was successful.

  2. I guess as we’ve all heard that the shooter was only a 150 yd away or so from Donald Trump on an unoccupied unguarded rooftop. Bystanders were literally pointing to the shooter climbing the wall of the building (carrying a visible rifle) pointing/shouting to get law enforcement/secret service agents to do something. This apparently went on for several minutes prior to the shots being fired.

  3. Fate, luck, providence, take your pick.

Trump is the quintessential American, even with his flaws. That is why he is hated by so many.

No American politician has faced the threats Trump has since the Founders.

Trump is answering the call of destiny.

    1. “Trump is answering the call of destiny.”

At least one professional sniper has likened a shot at 150 yards as like a professional golfer making an easy putt; by the Grace of God indeed.

    2. Trump is the quintessential American, even with his flaws. That is why he is hated by so many.

His flaws make him more the quintessential American (man on the street) than most are willing to admit.
