There FTFY.
I can recall perhaps two teachers, pre-college, that were not offensively incompetent and demeaning.
In college, I had a couple of professors I recall with fondness, and a couple more in medical school. My various professors for my masters programs were just meh, but they were not full time programs, so they were not full time teaches.
But the school systems are to blame: The leadership is mostly comprised of failures at teaching, and serve to support the teachers, not the students.. After all, as Albert Shanker pointed out, the students don’t pay dues.
