  1. Bragg dropped all the charges against those arrested for occupying Columbia.

    No punishment is coming.

I suspect that if there are declines in enrollment, shortfalls in funding will be met with more of other people’s money.

    1. Yes. Columbia has an endowment of over $13 billion. The Columbia administrators are playing with house money.

    2. Yeah, exactly. I’ll believe there are consequences when I hear about them, and not before. I was coming to comment about the exact same thing.

Now, I’ve heard a few students have had job offers revoked, but that’s not universal.

  2. I always used to survey every news source I could in order to see what, it anything, was true in the newsisphere, and what was complete BS. About 20 years ago, Al Jazeera, amazingly enough, had consistently more accurate coverage of most of the world, including the United States, than any other mainstream media outlet. I have drifted away from reading it. But it still isn’t as bad as The New York Times and The Washington Post (whose motto is: “It looks like a newspaper, but it isn’t”). If the sole source of a story is the Times or the Post, then the story can be dismissed out of hand no matter what it is.
