Like several critics I’ve read, he says even the supporting cast of heavy-weight actors gave Oscar worthy performances.
It will not get an Oscar nod, and probably not even many nominations. And I say that not because the movie was in anyway bad or failed to deliver. I say that because I only saw one black character, and he was an extra. Many of the characters were Jewish, of all things, and several were Germans and Brits. It ignored all the important contributions women of color made to the project, and the strong black female physicists who constantly corrected the white men’s mathematic calculations and glaring design errors, and it completely omitted showing all the black child slaves laboring away in the uranium mines.

Maudlin rehashing of the McCarthy ‘Red Scare’ with the post facto view that ‘We never had a Red Revolution™ so it was all hysteria. right?’. …Check.
