“…he [Mark Hopkins] was indefatigable in his efforts to get humanity into space.” No he wasn’t. He was indefatigable in his efforts to *control* the space movement, period. His way or the highway. There could be ONLY one, and it was to be HIM. His death is decades overdue. Good riddance.
