The other side of that argument to being shot while black…Is that he wasn’t dressed up in a suit and tie. He was dressed like the typical street thug….one that tries to hide his identity because he is about to break the law. Hoodie, when it is warm, sunglasses at night, etc. Look like a hood, like a criminal, get treated like a criminal. Funny how that works.
Plus, honestly, I don’t believe the narrative. Pulled into a driveway of a dark house when it was supposed to have people in it waiting for him. Never tried to call ’em to come out, as they were supposed to do (according to HIS story, anwway)….so go up to a dark house and beat on the door. …Sure, makes sense. Like he wouldn’t be treated as a criminal by *anyone*, no matter what their race, late at night when the house is dark, and he’s on their porch trying to get the door open….no matter what color the occupants might be.
Its a cultural thing, not a racial thing.
I don’t see armies of Bryant Gumbel acolytes being cut down like wheat before the scythe.
