Reviews of the new Pixar flick, from Peter Suderman (who I finally met, a couple months ago in Nashville) and Sonny Bunch. Neither are impressed. Bunch is particularly brutal.

I dunno. I’m not planning on watching this movie. But reality check folks: It’s a kids movie about a kids movie that spawned a toy. Geez These critics need a cannon to latch onto. How about a running commentary about how Disney+ is screwing up StarWars? Some people are just not happy unless they can find life relevance in People magazine. What would they have preferred? Buzz bombing
SerbiansSilothians inKosovoKovarian? Most of what comes out of Hollywood these days is a mess o’meme.I find it hard to believe Star Wars would’ve inspired Andy to ditch Roy Rogers if Luke had decided that, hey, maybe killing womp rats on Tatooine was good enough after all. – Bunch
I don’t know. The Force Awakens probably would much better had Rey got her wish to stay on Jakku, keeping BB-8 and Finn hidden in the crashed star destroyers until rebels could arrive, using her skills in salvaging and knowledge of tearing down star destroyers to her advantage while giving viewers a look at planet life and what life might be like aboard a star destroyer. Then again, Disney is essentially doing this with Disney+ fare and it sucks.
Someone should by Andy an F/A-18 toy.
