I’m not sure treating my type II with something as drastic as an autologous transplant would be worth it to me. Metformin and a somewhat strict diet aren’t that bad. Now if they could do this with wheat gluten intolerance… I’d do it. I miss the hell out of bread and pasta. (Non-wheat bread sucks. Taiwan-style bean threads [made from mung bean starch and water] is an adequate substitute for wheat pasta, but just barely).
Considering how bad the diabetes is for some people, this could be really nice if it pans out and isn’t just another clickbait science story.
