“Signs of inflation are clear. The price of copper hit a 10-year high at the end of April – about $9,990/ton as compared to about $5,000 in January 2020, before COVID struck. Similarly, “lumber prices seem to set a new record almost daily,” CNBC reported on April 30, “now up 67% this year and up 340% from a year ago.” The past year’s surge in lumber prices has added $35,872 to the price of an average new single-family home, according to the National Association of Home Builders. ”
Some of this could be inflation but but there are also supply chain disruptions and demand.
Creating inflation makes sense though if your goal is to reduce consumption to save the planet.

Semantics maybe, but that is the definition of inflation. Prices change due to mismatch in supply and demand, whether it’s bad monetary policy or a pandemic lockdown or mining an asteroid full of platinum. In my opinoin this is about 10% virus and 90% politicians buying votes.
Good news is, gold is relatively cheap, and crypto might just be having it’s coming of age moment. Bad news is it’s everywhere around the world so there’s nowhere to escape when the have-nots realize what happened.
I don’t disagree but inflation is generally viewed as more than a seasonal disruption. How long will lumber prices remain so high? I don’t know but when they come down, we might see what the inflation is. The same would be true for ammo prices. Ammo prices wont remain as high as they are now forever but when they drop and stabilize, we will see what the inflation is.
Or this could all be the new normal and things are way worse than anyone comprehends. Houses that used to cost $100k a year ago are selling for $300k. A burger that used to cost $6 a few years ago, now costs $13. Suck steep prices increases in such a short amount of time are going to be bad news if it isn’t a short term blip.
All of the articles attributing various strategies or actions to Biden are getting tiresome. Biden doesn’t know what day it is, where he is, or what he’s doing…which is perfect for the guy really running the country, former (and de facto current) President Barack Obama. He’s the first President since Woodrow Wilson to maintain residence in Washington DC after his presidency. Who would willingly live there? Why would anyone willingly live there? You don’t hear a thing about him, or from him. But you see every single policy he ever advocated coming to fruition through his puppet Joe. It’s an ideal setup. He can do the most outrageous things with political impunity, because he does so invisibly, through the screen of a demented old creep who will take any political blowback – though the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, aka the media, mutes any such blowback. It is truly the most amazingly cunning takeover of a country in all of history…
“You don’t hear a thing about him, or from him.”
You can go watch his youtube channel. The guy is very busy and very public but our media doesn’t cover him because his overt Marxism would shock most Democrats.
Gonna party like it’s 1979.
