If I had to wear a mask everywhere and socially isolate so I could have the Keystone Pipeline back, I would go for the Keystone Pipeline.
Why the hate on masks? Yeah, yeah, our state governors are on a power trip, but do you really want to go into a store with sniffling, sneezing people not wearing masks? Do you want to go to see the doctor and sit in a waiting room elbow-to-elbow with people in the same state?

Nothing stopped you from wearing a mask before. I might could get behind a policy that says you should wear a mask when visiting a doctor. But even when we had the Keystone Pipeline being built, you wouldn’t see me booking a flight to sit in an uncomfortable tube while wearing a mask for hours. And wearing a mask to cross the threshold at the local restaurant is so much Kabuki theater. Wearing a mask in an office cubicle environment seems moronic.

Democratic and Representative are not congruent concepts. There is such a thing as ‘tyranny of the majority’. Applying the principle of districting by population runs counter to the founding principles of a Senate. See the Federalists papers.
