  1. Has he said where he’s moving? I’m guessing it’s not New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, or Seattle.

    Nashville.

  2. I’m surprised Ben stuck around this long. I fled in 2008, and my now wife in 2014.

The 2006 XPRIZE Cup headquarters was in an apartment complex at the corner of Yucca and Gower, diagonally across the street from the iconic Tower Records building, and in sight of the Hollywood sign. I worked there with my team (the Flight Operations Team) and the other teams for several months, and routinely escorted my many female colleagues to their cars at the end of a long work day. Yucca street was littered with hypodermics and used condoms, and there was the occasional homeless person laying in wait for a lone female. Luckily, no one was ever assaulted.

The only positive memory I have of that setting was Roscoe’s chicken and waffles, and that’s only because I took my younger son and his girlfriend there one night (it was amazing). Other than that, I found it disgusting and dangerous. And that was in 2006. I can’t imagine what it’s like today.

  3. “Can California’s green extremism go national?”

Given how quickly the entire populace succumbed to the tyrannical state dictates in response to Covid-19, I’d say it’s a sure thing. And it won’t be slow.
