They, the Democrat media, are still pushing Russian Collusion. They are in too deep to tell the truth now.
And why not? None of them have gone to jail, and if they ever let up on pushing the lie; there’s a good chance they will end up in jail.
I think they believe they’ll get away with all of it if Trump loses in November. So they are going for broke, because if Trump wins, the investigation into the hoax is already in place and will be able to continue. We already have so much information about the bona fides of the Steele dossier: the drunken source, his drunken sources, and Steele’s own admission. Does anyone doubt that Mueller’s team wasn’t aware of all this, yet never exposed it?

I personally think Donald Trump is going to win; don’t believe the polls. What worries me is the likely reaction of the left when he does; they already are saying that if Trump wins he must have “cheated” somehow. There will likely be heavily orchestrated mass public “protests” egged on by the media/Dems; Trump will likely have to call out the National Guard. Cries of him being a “dictator” because he is trying to prevent said “peaceful protestors” from burning our cities to the ground.
These inflated poll numbers for Biden are part of the battlespace preparation for the “Trump Must Have Cheated” crowd. The numbers are absurd on their face, but Big Lie Theory and all that.
They used violent mobs throughout the 2016 election, they used violence to stop people from attending the inauguration, they used violent mobs to shut down any non-Democrat speaking event, they used their intetnet and social media companies to censor and deplatform people, and they kick people out of brick and mortar businesses like banks and restaurants.
Win or lose, we can expect more of this from the Democrats as Marxism is ascending in their party. Even when Obama was president we had OWS, race riots, and all of the abuses by federal agencies and Democrat controlled corporations. Either way, it will be more of what we see today.
Trump isn’t the cause. They would do the same if some other Republican had won or even a Democrat. They have agency and are motivated by their own twist ideology.
Can anyone recommend a book that details how we got to the point of 90 percent of the mainstream media being essentially Democratic operatives with bylines? As the occupation of the press by the left has had a profound effect on our lives and the politics of the country I’d like to see a “blow by blow” description of how we got here.
That would make an interesting, and infuriating, read.
“Can anyone recommend a book that details how we got to the point of 90 percent of the mainstream media being essentially Democratic operatives with bylines?”
Don’t know about any book; my take on it is it started with ideologically leftist biased University professors at ivy league schools protected by tenure. They (said professors) groomed/selected certain students carefully propagandized a certain way and preferentially recommended them for jobs at major news organizations. They (the former students) over time came to dominate in said news organizations, grooming and promoting others like themselves. In result what we have now.
Concur, but I would also give credit to the CIA and Operation Mockingbird. Decades of embedding operatives in the media to control their desired narrative, which now is likely almost absolute.
I don’t recall a book that discusses it but there are bound to be examples out there. In a nutshell, things started to fall apart when those doing the job started to see themselves as journalists rather than mere reporters. Reporters, who often lacked much in the way of formal education, worked their beats, cultivated sources, and wrote about what happened. Journalists, possessing degrees from schools of journalism (which rank with teacher education programs for their lack of rigor), are those who believe in an all important (Leftist) Narrative. Rather than report what happened answering the classic 5 Ws (who, what, when, where, and why), they want to “make a difference”. Journalists seek sources to confirm what they believe or, if that fails, make up stuff to support the Narrative. A good example of this is what happened in the infamous Duke Lacrosse Team fake rape story. In the end, it was summarized as “The Narrative is right but the facts were wrong.” It’s fake news.
I think there was a book, maybe even linked here, about how journalism became storytelling. Can’t remeber the name now, but it made some waves when it came out. Or maybe it was just a really long article that I remember as a book.
It’s not the book you are exactly looking to find, but I recommend “State of Fear”.
I listened to Ted Nunes’ interview with Sean Hannity today, and it was, frankly, terrifying. If President Trump is not reelected in November, the story of the nature of our government’s “transformation” to that of a banana republic will vanish. The railroaded “criminals” will have their lives finally and fully destroyed, while the actual criminals (up to and including Barack Obama) will go free. And each and every one of us who is an American As Founded will be in perpetual danger of having our lives destroyed by these hideous people.
And the Democrats wont change in the next 4 years. What comes after Trump?

Back in the day I did take a closer look at the bright young Senator running for president as I considered the voting options for that year.
Once he rolled over on the FISA Bill, I knew there was zero chance I could vote for him, ever. As for the media, I turned off my TV over a decade ago, and haven’t missed it, so I just ignore the mainstream outlets when they vie for my attention. Whenever I do happen to turn on the TV I am quickly reminded why I turned it off. Not interested in having those toxins in my brain.
