Elon has had enough of California, at least when it comes to making cars, if not rockets.
Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependen on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.
Well, good for Elon though I suspect this was a long time coming. Don’t fall for the COVID-19 hoax. Nobody can tell you to wear a mask. Gavin Newsom has allowed Muslim mosques to congregate but not Christian churches. HOAX!
Single party states have a set trajectory, which California seems to be following pretty closely. Tesla moving out was inevitable. I don’t want to think what will happen when Silicon Valley crashes along with the subsequent real estate depression. Hopefully, the Feds won’t be involved in digging them out.
It depends how dysfunctional California gets. If they have biker gangs raiding across the state’s border, that’s going to get the rest of us involved no matter how much we’d like them to leave us alone.

Elon is fond of culling the bottom 10% and this would be a good opportunity to liquidate some of the lazy millennial snowflakes that slipped through the cracks. I roll my eyes every time I hear “the SpaceX work force is so young”…behind the scenes there’s a John Insprucker-aged engineer doing 10x the work of the lazy millennials.
