You’d think by now that people would realize that if you want to judge Trump’s actions toward another country, you have to actually observe what he does, not listen to what he says about their leaders. But they’re idiots.
Generally speaking, you usually have to say something nice in public about foreign leaders, even if you don’t like them. Otherwise, you would have terrible diplomatic relations with almost every country in the world. Even the saintly Jimmy Carter felt he had to say nice things about the Filipino dictator Ferdinand Marcos and the Shah of Iran.
