  1. That all seems to be the case, and they are trying to blame Trump for it. Except, it is obvious to see who is pushing it. Nothing Trump did or did not do will cause the depression (other than perhaps signing the relief bills). I think Trump still has the election in hand. So it will be interesting when tax revenue drops, will Trump use it as an opportunity to dramatically shrink to federal government.

    1. Trump is clearly expressing a desire to get this country working again. Not as aggressively as I’d like, but I’m not seeing him with any faster options to deal with governors and mayors who prefer to keep us shut down that aren’t downright messy.

  2. “Really? Is she going to pay their bills?”

Sure, put everyone on welfare & make them (more) dependent on the State.

  3. AOC couldn’t be bothered to pair that call for a strike to any reasonable demands (like say reducing exposure to COVID).

“When we talk about this idea of reopening society you know, only in America does the president — when the president tweets about liberation — does he mean ‘go back to work.’ When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a lot of people should just say no — we’re not going back to that,” AOC told Anand Giridharadas in the first episode of his upcoming Vice show.

“We’re not going back to working 70-hour weeks just so that we could put food on the table and not even feel any sort of semblance of security in our lives,” she argued.

Who is working 70 hour weeks in the first place (the US average per week is around 35 hours per week)? And what do they have in common with AOC?

    1. Maybe if people like AOC hadn’t shipped so many of the good jobs abroad, those poor working stiffs wouldn’t have to work 70 hours a week to pay their bills.

But, hey, never let a crisis go to waste and all that.
