Funny how a President who ran on rolling back regulations quickly and often cited with out specifics as one of his achievements . Gets tied up in knots in year 4 of his presidency with red tape during a national emergency/crisis.
Now we blaming the institutions instead of those in charge. Guess we just protecting the emperor with no clothes and his merry men. . Though the president does surround himself by people who do great job “kissing the feet” and translating from the original North Korean.
Well, aren’t you the idiot asshole.
No surprise why you’re pseudonymous. Too bad you give a bad name to actual engineers.
No the asshole is the one in charge of this country, inciting panic by publicly musing about a federal quarantine of specific states with out talking to any one first. Or has his people in charge of these organization and then gets in front of a microphone and says “he takes no responsibility”. But giving out free money to everyone he wants to make sure every one thinks he is responsible for that. Now that chutzpah not even Obama put his signature or name on the “American Reinvestment and Recovery Act” road signs.
Oh yea America First.
They told me if I didn’t vote for Trump, America would load planes with crates of resources to America’s enemies in the middle of the night and they were right .
I hope China reciprocates the favor.
Rand 8 years ago you would be destroying this excrement show.
Now if I being honest to my “Globalist” self, this at the time was a right move. Better to support the fight there than wait till the fight is here. But I’ve seen no evidence that we ramped up production to replace the stockpile or perhaps we should of sent these.
Kudos to Rand for tolerating you rather that just banning your sorry ass. But I hate for him to always be the one who says you’re an idiot, so here’s my contribution to the cause: You’re an idiot. I wish you would pipe down.
In part, it all depends on who is doing the regulating. Here in South Korea the government has handled the situation fairly well. No panic, the stores are well stocked, and so far, no total shutdown of the economy. But here, the officials don’t seem to be willfully stupid. Not geniuses, mind you, but they haven’t behaved like De Blasio in New York or Mayor La Toya in New Orleans, and certainly not like the NYC public health commissioner, who’s been telling people to ignore the US government precautions because Orange Man bad.
As as an expat, it’s sad for me to read about the situation back in the good old USA.
As for Engineer, did you really think Trump was going to do nothing, watch the situation spiral totally out of control without doing anything, and then be accused of having the Nero Syndrome?
Michael
Yes he clearly not Nero it plain to see he clearly has his eye on the ball and the most important matters, while the situation spirals out of control, to say otherwise would clearly be media fabrications.
Now what exactly are you referring to about the NYC Health commissioner and what US Government precautions? I seen the stuff on the Lunar New Year comments but broad swath of the government was down playing publicly at the time and I doubt the NYC Health commissioner was sitting on the classified briefs, maybe need to check her stock activity to be sure.
Hopefully when this is all over we will revised our system and take hard looks at The South Korean and Japanese adaption from the experience with SARS , also look into how effective the Germans handle it though I suspect they are playing a shell game. Now unfortunately suspect those three countries the People are far more obedient of the government direction which rightfully isn’t United States cup of tea. Maybe we should start taking Infectious disease research and Medical care of those inflicted with infectious disease more seriously treating it more like National Defense, this situation is quickly becoming more damaging than most of our wars in the last 40 years. It is a common good. Leave private Medical insurance and medical care, to trauma, injuries and non-infectious diseases and disorders.
Stay safe over there.
