Worden flew the command module around the moon on Apollo 15 (as Collins did for Apollo 11), so he never got to walk on it. But that whole crew was from the University of Michigan. They didn't leave a Block M flag on the moon, though: https://t.co/0Y0XFOf3eM

Sorry to see the passing of another Apollo era astronaut. Will they all be gone before the USA returns to the moon?
Apollo 15 blasted off just a few days after I was born. I always got a kick out of sharing a name with its commander. (And no, I was named after one of my dad’s college drinking buddies.) For my whole life there have been people alive who have walked on the moon and now we’re down to just four. Get a move on, Elon.
