More from Allison Duettmann, who is co-writing what looks to be an interesting new book with Mark Miller (who I haven’t seen in years).
If you have the time, the next in the playlist is a salon with her and Aubrey De Grey on the value of life extension, but it’s a little over an hour. Foresight has put a lot of videos on line recently from its Vision Weekend last year.
It occurs to me that the principal value of life extension would be to make it all the way through that video.
You mean the second one? Actually, I’d watch both without sound just to watch Allison. But I’d prefer an edited version that cropped out Aubrey.
Yes, the second one. And yes, Allison is pleasant to watch.
Unsurprisingly, even more so in person. I spent an evening with her (and others) three weeks ago in San Francisco.
It’s a little distracting to talk to her. I felt like I needed to make a pinhole camera, like with a solar eclipse, so I could view her more indirectly and not be blinded by her pulchritude.
But she’s a brilliant woman in other ways as well. She’s so bright, when she steps out of the house in the morning, the sun has to put on Allison glasses.
” But I’d prefer an edited version that cropped out Aubrey.”
Is your issue with him philosophical or do you just want someone easier on the eyes? Like say Liz Parrish?

Now you can have your intellectual cake (and cheesecake) all in the same package.
Well, not sure I’d call it cheesecake; she dresses fairly modestly, IME. But is lovely regardless (Allison, that is, don’t know anything about Liz).
The latter (though he’s not easy on the ears, either).
