It is this history of Islamic aggression—beginning in the fourteenth century when Muslims first established a foothold in Eastern Europe (Thrace), and into the twentieth century when the Ottoman sultanate finally collapsed
How history works and our place in it is a strange relationship. Our history is quite short but we can look at other civilizations in the past and events would play out over decades or centuries. How many people even know that Americans were being enslaved by Muslims not that long ago or that we defeated the last Islamic Caliphate in WWI?
These events were not that long ago.
We don’t need to hold centuries long grudges but we do need to be aware of history and to guard our future.
