I feel sorry for them just like I feel sorry for those impacted by open borders policies. This is a solvable problem but one party thinks they benefit from it not being solved, so there is no incentive for them to compromise.
I’ve never done any work for the government, but is customary to only get paid every quarter? The article says they haven’t been paid for work they’ve been doing for three months, but the shutdown has only been going on for 23 days. What am I missing?
It depends on the Ts and Cs of the contract. If not customary, it’s not unheard of.
