This looks like an amazing documentary.
My paternal grandfather immigrated to New York from Poland, and was almost immediately drafted and sent back to Europe to fight in the American trenches. I never learned any details.

I’ll have to wait until it comes out on Blueray. The only local theater that’s showing it has really jacked up the ticket prices to more than I’m willing to pay.
From what I’ve seen, this is an amazing documentary. He went to amazing lengths to bring those old movies up to current resolution, added color, and even employed lip readers to determine what the men were saying. They used regional-accurate actors to dub in the voices. The previews I’ve seen are spectacular – better than any of the footage I’ve seen for WWII and even later wars.
