Our Claire seems like an out and out statist. All those undecorated lamp posts.
Perhaps. But typically in the history of France, protests like these were basically stopped with violence. Typically by incarcerating the ringleaders of the movement.
Once the list of changes starts it keeps flowing ever more and more. To the point where the existence of the state itself might be in peril. This was to be expect though. Macron is dumb AF and is totally disconnected from the reality of most people. Marine Le Pen even joked in the election that voting for him would be the same as putting Merkel in power in France.
Ms. Berlinski appears to be living in a fantasy world and has not grasped the grim reality that only violence can remove a fascist / totalitarian government. The French leaders are little more than window-dressing for their globalist EU masters.
Her fantasy world is topped by that of the government of Spain, which proposes banning yellow jackets – on the theory that that will ensure no riots.
People only used yellow jackets on the protest, because, in case you don’t know, it’s mandatory here in Europe to own a yellow jacket to use whenever your car breaks own in the middle of the highway and you have to walk over the highway to fix your tire, move your car, or whatever. I think it is an EU wide regulation.
This explains the vehicle safety vest regulations.

In Australia OH&S is such that there are yellow/orange jackets everywhere. To the point that an invading army wearing such would simply blend in.
The political class really aren’t that smart as shown by a non politician like Trump wiping the floor with them in 2016.
Trump is the quintessential American, which is subconciously appealing. Meanwhile, most politicians have never done anything.
