Five reasons that she was the worst presidential candidate the Democrats could have run.

After the election there were more than a few people who said Hillary won the popular vote. Hmm. She did get more votes than Donald Trump.
If you start looking at 3rd party voting though, it gets more complicated — and unfavorable to Hillary Clinton. Lots of Republicans did not like Donald Trump. Did they vote for Hillary Clinton? Let me point out that the Libertarian Party Candidate got far more votes than in previous elections. Even the Green Party saw a significant rise in votes.
If you add the Libertarian votes to the Republican votes and the Green Party votes to the Democratic votes, you will find out that, in 2016, the Libertarian plus Republican votes were higher than the Green Party plus Democratic votes.
I suspect that Hillary supporters don’t like hearing this though. Then there are results in California. Eliminate the California votes and Hillary’s win in the popular vote becomes far more controversial.

Which has zero relevance to how presidents are elected. And if you take out California, she lost the popular vote.
Rand, you are very right about California. Too many Americans still don’t understand that.
As far as how presidents are elected, it is true that the Electoral College votes are the ones that matter most, more than a few people bring up the topic of popular votes when they think they can make a case for how their candidate should have won.

They’re the only ones that matter. Popular vote is completely irrelevant.
My understanding is you only had to take out two or three counties in the US, and she would lose the popular vote. Which shows the problem of the popular vote; you only need to campaign in a few locations and ignore other areas, like Wisconsin.
Switching to a popular vote would also mean you’d need a national voter ID law. So California’s political power would shrink dramatically when the illegals couldn’t vote, and they were no longer over-represented because the illegals were no longer included in the Californian population to give them more representatives and electoral college voters.
Used to read PJM daily but they keep changing the site in ways that make it painful to visit. Trying to get through a listicle is very frustrating and multiple page articles are even worse as the page refreshes too often and then you have to scroll and click read more again.
