Just few in from San Jose. May go walk up the hill to see the Delta launch from Vandenberg in half an hour, but I suspect there’s too much moisture in the air. It was fogged in at the beach when we landed.

The Delta finally took off at 14:11 PST. Did you see it?
It always amazes me how the Delta IV boosters do their best to set themselves on fire when the excess hydrogen gas is ignited during engine start, and this one seemed more charred than usual. Here is a link to T-15 from ULA’s webcast.
The next launch out of Vandenberg should be a Falcon 9 lofting Hispasat’s Paz (military & commercial radar sat.), scheduled for 06:22 PST on Saturday, 10 February 2018, about half an hour before sunrise. It is expected to fly on a reused booster, and if recovered, should be the first RTLS landing of a Falcon 9 at Vandenberg.
I looked, but didn’t see it. Fogged in at the beach, and while I could see jet contrails above the deck, never saw the rocket rising.
