Available within two years? If so, this will save a lot of lives, and perhaps end the need for waiting for donors (which, unlike other organs, could be solved by simply letting the market work).

If UCSF develops it, who sells it? I want stock in that company. Plus the timing might work out very well for me… perhaps. They wanted to fly me to Phoenix last week to remove potassium but I figured out it was Hunt’s tomato sauce that was spiking my levels. I drove to Phoenix instead and played poker for two days.

The article doesn’t talk about what’s involved in maintenance, which seems to me might be a big job.
