Given the soaking the area has taken this year that’s hardly surprising.
It would be surprising if there weren’t.

Hwy 223 descending from Hwy 59 toward Arvin is always great, and was well under way Saturday. Most of the color was at the lower altitude end, so it will be increasing over next few weeks. Plenty of rain forecast this week, and even snow in Tehachapi means it will continue to improve.
