Automakers ask Pruitt to roll back the Obama rules on mileage.
CAFE should be repealed, period. Also federal toilet-tank standards, and light-bulb laws. The federal government has no business whatsoever telling us what how efficient our personal items should be.
Harley-Davidson should ask for the right to honor warranties regardless of what the EPA demands.
I think there could be standards which state how much water a toilet uses on a discharge and how it is compared with others in term of water used, kind of like what is done with refrigerators, but I agree that there shouldn’t be a ban on a toilet just because it isn’t a low-flush toilet. In my experience low-flush toilets often lead to the use of quite a lot of water, particularly the public toilets, which sometimes people end up flushing over and over and still that crappy low flush won’t work and then you have to call someone to clean the toilet… I can guess what ends up being cheaper.
Same about light bulbs, there should be clear labels, but you shouldn’t be forbidden to buy a bulb just because it’s low efficiency.

I kind of agree. There isn’t a need for a government labeling mandate though since there is a significant market demand for the information. Differentiation through marketing features/benefits is standard practice.
The federal limits on aggregated showerhead flow rate are likewise obnoxious. Considering how egregiously the Commerce Clause has been abused, the USA would be better off if it were repealed.
There’s never been a law passed that someone hasn’t tried to abuse.
Trump’s idea about reducing the number of regulations is brilliant, Congress needs to step up and do something similar.
The best comment on CAFE standards came from the former Iowahawk, who wrote something to the effect of “57 miles per gallon? Why not 57 million miles per gallon?” In other words, if you’re going to legislate the impossible, why not go for a huge improvement?
While they’re at it, the Feds should make the lives of school children easier by legislating the value of pi to exactly 3.
