It was essentially no different than:

Journalist: I’m trying to, but you won’t let me! Why won’t you let me explain about the alien signals?
Dr: Please explain them to me. Are there alien signals being beamed into your head?
Journalist: But you keep interrupting! Why won’t you let me tell you about the alien signals?
Dr: Please, tell me. I’m all ears. Are you receiving alien signals?
Journalist: I’ve seen this game before. You’re trying to make this about me. Well let me bring up some things you’ve said. I have a whole file on you.
Dr: But about the alien signals…
Journalist: Why won’t you let me explain them? Are you in on it with them?
Dr: I’m trying to let you explain them, but you refuse to.
Journalist: Oh, don’t you play those games with me! Why won’t you give me a chance to explain about the alien signals?!

And the guy writes for Newsweek, where the reporters and editors are obviously too stupid to spot a paranoid crazy person.
He wanted to make a case and not just answer “yes” or “No”. That’s because his case does not lead one to “yes” or “no” but “Because of these events, I SURMISE.
And Eichenwald was not about to give a straight answer.
Tucker’s pretty good but he needs to craft a way to stop the filibustering. Maybe it’s crafting the initial question differently.
I look forward to Tucker exposing more mental illness in the future because there is no shortage.
