Thoughts from Bob Zimmerman:
The worst aspect of all these stories is how this childish intolerant behavior is becoming increasingly violent and aggressive. Unfortunately, our society does not seem to know how to stop it, and thus I expect it to only grow worse in the coming years, no matter who wins this coming election.
Like related things, it won’t end well.
As I pointed out there, you don’t blame the child. You blame the adults (hint: that’s suppose to be us.)
If you’ve ever seen a parent or grandparent allow a child as young as three run there house (TV remote for example) you’ve seen the source of the problem. These ‘grow up’ feeling entitled.
It is the responsibility of the adults to marginalize this childishness even if it means breaking rules which children have always been better at using against adults. Because there is a fundamental flaw in rules superseding principles.
Laws should be derived from principles, not be their master.
