A lot of other food producers profited from the demonization of fat. This is the biggest health disaster in history, I think.

There is no reason to even consider eating reduced-fat cheese. Same with all dairy, including milk. Low-fat milk is a nutritional abomination.
It’s almost impossible to find whole-milk mozarella, at least shredded. Fage won’t produce a whole-milk Greek yogurt; best you can do is two percent. And Costco only sells fat-free. Fortunately, Trader Joe’s has started selling its own brand, in whole-milk, at a lower price, so that’s our new yogurt.
Based on the amount of people who have suffered and died over the past 50 years, I’d call it a genocide.
I’very seen articles in the leftist media that this was all “corporate greed.” I think this unlikely.
Personally I think this was an honest mistake or incompetence, by government, multiplied by government power.

My Costco (in the shadow of the blimp barns south of you in Orange County) does carry full fat Greek yogurt. Just checked the fridge: It’s Mountain High branded.
I suspect that the individual Costco locations buy separately.
I don’t know if I like that brand. What’s its protein content? I like Fage, but I want whole-milk. Trader Joe’s seems to make an equivalent now.

I can get them here, too, just not that particular brand in whole milk.
Last time I was in California they had Yoplait yogurt on the aisles of the local supermarket and it seemed good to me. I like the blueberry flavor. Can’t find that here in Europe easily:

Most of the people eating the Greek yogurts here seem to prefer the low fat versions for some reason. Personally I don’t like Greek yogurt. Tried it (several products) and I found it too sour.
Reduced fat hard cheese is crap. Semi-soft Mozzarella is usually lower fat than hard cheeses. It has more water content in it.
That was one of the things I disliked about the supermarket in California really. No decent cheese and all too expensive. I was talking with my mother about it the other day. I could find pizza in umpteen flavors easily but not decent cheese… Kinda weird. Not even something basic like Emmentaler or Edam.
Another thing which struck me as odd about the supermarket was having whole aisles dedicated to chicken legs and wings… But even that seems to be starting to become more common here.
Oh the milk in California was great too.
