It’s Not Over Until The FBI Clears Clinton

…which Slatealon (!) says it absolutely shouldn’t:

At the end of the day, Americans everywhere will realize that the rule of law applies to Hillary Clinton, and that honesty and integrity will propel Bernie Sanders to the presidency. The FBI’s reputation is at stake, both globally and at home, and I explain why in this YouTube segment. James Comey and the agents who’ve devoted endless hours to Clinton’s email investigation will soon disclose their findings to the American people; to think nothing will result from this year-long probe is naive. Remember, the FBI doesn’t give parking tickets.

I sure hope this is true (other than President Bernie). I fear it is not.

  1. Wow.

(And point of order: Link goes to Salon.com, which says the article originally appeared on The Huffington Post–double wow.)

  2. If what’-her-name (the US AG) refuses to let them indict, I hope Comey has the guts to announce that the FBI will not be seeking an indictment of Shrillery, even though they have more than enough evidence for conviction, because the POLITICAL AG has seen the evidence and still specifically stated that she won’t approve an indictment no matter what.

    Dreaming, I know. 🙁

  3. Politico recently ran a good piece on why a prosecution of Clinton is unlikely.

“Looked at as a potential criminal case, this would be laughed out of court,” said William Jeffress, a Washington attorney on the defense team for former Bush White House aide Scooter Libby during his trial for lying in a leak investigation. “There hasn’t been any case remotely approaching a situation where someone received emails that were not marked classified, who simply receives them and maybe replies to them and a criminal prosecution is brought,” Jeffress said.

    1. I am “coming around” to embracing Hillary Clinton as our next President.

She has accepted so much money in speaking fees from Big Business that she can’t be serious about turning off the spigot on hydrocarbon energy, the one thing that makes the world go ’round. Bernie sounds serious that he would tank the economy by banning “fracking.”

Ms. Clinton, along with her friends, are merely “virtue signaling”, you know, by putting up these highly visible wind turbines and claiming that their enterprises are “100 percent renewable powered”, which is as accurate advertising as Volkswagen A. G. Clean Diesel, when you are grid-connected and benefiting from fossil-backup of an energy source with at best a 20% “capacity factor.”

Never mind that the real issue with the e-mail server is not the server or the classified e-mails but the amount of cozy-capitalist-corruption being hidden, but cozy-capitalist-corruption is what greases the axles of prosperity.

    2. Jim, he’s full of shit. Where I work, most people (myself included) are cleared at the TS/SCI level. We have to tank annual training in the handling of classified information, and what she and her minions did violates virtually everything the training teaches. All of it carries criminal penalties.

A colleague of mine suggested recently that if Hillary isn’t indicted, everyone who holds a clearance should turn in his or her badge in protest. Replacing that number of people wouldn’t be a matter of just bringing in troops. It takes 6 months and costs $10,000 to do a TS/SCI investigation. Replacing NSA alone would cost half a billion dollars, and leave us without intel a long time.

I thought it was an interesting idea.

      1. Read the whole piece. The only person they could find to argue the pro-prosecution side of the argument was Rudy Giuliani, and even he admitted that his staff mishandled classified documents.

Thousands of intelligence personnel handing in their badges would make a powerful statement. We’ll see if anything like that happens.

        1. “The only person they could find” – yeah, sure. It reminds of when the president “couldn’t find” an economist who opposed the Stimulus Bill. If you stick to your bubble, you won’t find anyone outside.

  4. Again this will never go to trial. If Trump wins the nomination Hillary will win the general election and she will stonewall. Her DOJ will “lose the paperwork”. The FBI, if it refuses to back-off, will find itself with a new director. Foggy bottom underlings that can’t prove with hard evidence that she knew classified information was deliberately mishandled on their watch will go to jail, those that can will, under a Clinton DOJ, be granted immunity in order to testify against those that can’t.

That the Clinton’s are above the law is already established fact.
