[Late-morning update]
Here’s some whining at The Hill by some idiot from Texas, who thinks that Judith Curry is a “denier.”
Sorry, but this hearing never happened.
Not according to the news, anyhow. On my favorite internet news site, that is. I went through all of their pages that might have the slightest bearing on this and I found nothing about this hearing.
And this is Fox News. Haven’t checked CNN as yet, but I am sure it won’t be there unless the story is written to embarrass Cruz. I didn’t try, but I am sure I could have searched for a story on it and probably found it, but what good is that? Nobody who did not already know about the hearing would read about it.
If the curators of the supposedly most conservative mass news site can’t be bothered to disseminate these sorts of events, then the events do not, for all intents and purposes, happen. They are un-events. They are under the radar.
Sites like Rand’s are a plus, to be sure, and help to counteract this trend, but once again, the people who come are self-selected and already concur. Except for Jim. Not really sure how to fix this problem.
One should not consider Fox news as conservative. Instead you consider Fox news as somewhat independent, and the others of MSM as lockstep totalitarians. Or Lefties or fascists, or statists, or minions of evil, or propagandists of the establishment or other similar synonyms of hideously boring stupid mindless creatures.
