De Tocqueville, born 225 years ago (he was about the same age as the nation) predicted it. The Constitution, born the year before he was, was supposed to prevent it, but I guess the Constitution is for the little people, not the ones running the country.

He was among many to see the truth but the bible preceded all of them and goes further (Dan 2:44)
It doesn’t take a majority to enforce tyranny. They just need to not call it tyranny and go along with it.
I think if we’re ever going to have any accountability in Washington it is through the state convention process. I’ve been following the progress of these guys: http://www.conventionofstates.com
They seem to be making progress.
My objection to the tyranny of the majority is pretty much the same as my objection to the tyranny of the few.
Whether majority or few, the problem is we’ve been trained to accept tyranny as the norm. You can’t fight it. You will be ridiculed and marginalized if you even suggest it.
You are not even allowed to recognize it. Except perhaps in an abstract way with Roddy Piper as an actor.
We now live in a tyranny our founders could not imagine us allowing (or they would have been more extreme in what they wrote.) Even special glasses will not help at this point.
