I’ve been on a telecon all day on the NASA Advisory Council meeting at JPL. Some very interesting discussion on launch and technology issues. I’m generally impressed with the tech plans, except for the absence of serious ISRU.

Remember that the official policy is that we aren’t going back to the Moon because “Buzz has been there already”. So it is basically impossible to see Lunar ISRU work done in this administration. At best you could see Mars or asteroid ISRU.
Quick someone propose asteroid ISRU.
Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLMHcUg36yc
Asteriod ISRU. This concept proposes doing chemical and physical resource extraction on the bagged asteriod of the retrieval mission.
Not a bad idea really
It’s not a bad idea, but it doesn’t do anything for lunar ISRU.
