Over at PJMedia, I point out that we shouldn’t be at all surprised about the organization’s callous inhumanity.

Sanger worship [Katie Couric] is no different from Hitler worship.
It was founded on racism, yet Progressives have used doublespeak for so long that people have bought in to the notion that it makes better Parents. And you can purchase a good deal of advertisement for the price of a Lamborghini, and more importantly, you can purchase a lot of support from the likes of Hillary Clinton.
Alas, like the “Innocence of Muslims” movie maker, these videographers will be investigated rather than anyone going after the real killers.
Abortion is such an important issue to them that they persecute dissidents in public rather than with nighttime paramilitary raids and secret IRS pogroms.
I’d like to see more substantive evidence of Sanger’s anti-black sentiments. In a court of law, the “We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population” can be interpreted as “don’t give them any wrong ideas” or “don’t give them any right ideas.”
Someone should take the time to scour “The Birth Control Review” during Sanger’s tenure as editor. (Who would have copies?) It is safe to assume that the opinions expressed in its columns do reflect those of the editor.
I’m not sure that there is evidence that she herself thought that blacks were an inferior race, but as I noted, many of her fellow birth-restrictionists were. In comments over there, someone defended her as being opposed to abortion and wanting to promote birth control to prevent it. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but if so, it would be a little strange, since she clearly had no problem with infanticide.
