1.5 tons makes it a test vehicle. Hopefully leading to a larger vehicle they could launch on their 10 ton LV should that come along. Costs are coming down.
I don’t expect a lot out of this. India has endemic issues in their military-industrial complex. If you think Russia has problems, they pale with comparison with India’s.
Most of it is controlled by the state and it is of shoddy quality with little accountability.
I don’t really know about India, but economic corruption is from top to bottom in Russia. To get anything done, right down to the local level, you need a friend with the right connections.
My ex thought she was a business woman because she sold fabric from Turkey in one hand while passing out paychecks and bonuses with the other. Those bonuses were entirely at her discretion. But she also relied on people in the right places.
Cute that she thought of this as a legitimate business.
Thomas Sowell describes India as being regulation crazy. That sounds more like America than Russia. They don’t need no stinkin’ regulations in Russia… they just kill you outright and make certain everyone knows who did it (with deniability of course.)
Putin is loved by those that see him as a strong man in such a system.
