No, Bush didn’t lie about WMD:

Yes, I keep repeating this stuff. Because it bears repeating. In Iraq, Obama took a war that we had won at a considerable expense in lives and treasure, and threw it away for the callowest of political reasons. In Syria and Libya, he involved us in wars of choice without Congressional authorization, and proceeded to hand victories to the Islamists. Obama’s policy here has been a debacle of the first order, and the press wants to talk about Bush as a way of protecting him. Whenever you see anyone in the media bringing up 2003, you will know that they are serving as palace guard, not as press.

  1. It’s worse than it appears. ISIS is Obama’s creation. He’s the Dr. Frankenstein who gave American weapons to “moderate pro-democracy Syrian rebels,” this despite dire warnings from the State Department that Assad wasn’t lying when he called them “terrorists” (you can look it up in Wikileaks). The “moderates” took our weapons, ran up the black flag, and began slitting throats.

    Note that this week’s agreed-upon narrative (which is subject to change, with or without notice) is “Dubya created ISIS! He overthrew the wonderful humanitarian Saddam Hussein and brought about anarchy in Iraq, then ISIS took over!” Which is a string of preposterous lies and slander from beginning to end. “ISIS” is this week’s name for the Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorist organization that carried out the Aleppo bombings in Syria five years ago and which was created to wage jihad against the Assad regime. Jabhat Al-Nusra didn’t even exist when Dubya left office in January 2009.

    Liberals are masters of doublethink and doubletalk. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH EASTASIA.

      While Obama’s policies, like arming the Syrian “rebels” or Libyan “rebels”, certainly contributed to the rise of ISIS, we can’t overlook the motivations and actions of the people who make up ISIS. They are responsible for their own actions. We can’t act as if these are not humans who choose their own path or whose actions don’t impact events.

      We always need to play a good game and perform at our best but there is another player. This other player can also play a good game and perform at their best. Their actions can shape events, not just ours alone.

      But ya, arming the Syrian rebels was a mistake that contributed to the problem just as arming and flying close air support in Libya and installing the MB in Egypt were. That is just for the rise of ISIS. There are other more current missteps like using Iranian proxy groups to fight ISIS but then treat the civilians just as bad as ISIS.

  2. The plan to invade Iraq and North Korea was being worked on for quite some time. You just have to read the PNAC policy paper from before Bush was elected. The army was supposed to fight those two wars. North Korea did not happen because of Afghanistan diverting resources.

    I still find it funny that you guys defend Bush’s government for the WMD lie though. Are you forgetting Colin Powell’s speech in the UN?

    2. I assume that you have taken many tests and that even though you are very intelligent, you have got some questions wrong. Why did you lie on your tests?

      Our military war games and strategizes everything. Why wouldn’t there be a plan in the event of war with Iraq? We had just finished a war with them a few years earlier. They were shooting at us almost daily, skirting the agreements made at the end of the previous war, and rhetorically hostile. How were we supposed to wind down oil for food or no fly zones if Iraq wasn’t willing to live up to their end of the bargain? Appeasement isn’t a good strategy.

      And North Korea? Why would we even bother thinking we could be at war with them some day?
