I wonder if any of these young Arabs share my strong suspicion that ISIS eventually wants to take Mecca and Medina. If ISIS views pre-Islamic (hell, pre-Roman Empire) antiquities as impurities, think of how it feels about the Saudi-US alliance. Why would ISIS trust the Saudis – or anybody else – to run their top holy cities?
This does seem like good news. Education is probably the only thing that can restrain the radical Islamists, as Muslims realize that the quality of their life on this Earth depends on cooperating with their neighbours rather than killing them.
Except that many who have joined the jihad are well educated.
Is it purely coincidence that the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement shares its initials with Bush Derangement Syndrome?
