I sure do. Not too much physically yet but the millennial youth culture and the general political culture mark a change from the world in which I grew up. And not for the good.
I turned 60 almost a year ago, and can tell you that it’s true what they say: 60 is the new 59.99999…
My mom is 71. She looks the same as she did at 45 – one hell of a lot younger looking than her parents were at 71.
For most of history, by the age of 40 people had been doing back-breaking work since childhood. They were worn out.
I remember thinking when I was young that my 65YO grandfather looked old, lost most of his hair, had false teeth, had to cut corn off cob with a knife. I’ve got some hair issues myself, but what’s left is mostly ungrayed, and I feel fine.
