Why is he doing so poorly? As noted, it’s certainly domestic politics — the Israelis have been living with an existential threat since the nation was founded.

Hmmmm, not sure why I can’t properly embed that tweet, but here it is. he thinks the debate didn’t go well for the opposition, but we’ll see.

  1. On an unrelated note, Iran is apparently giving substantial support to Iraq in its fight with ISIS.

    An Iraqi government official told The Associated Press that Iran has sold Baghdad nearly $10 billion in arms and hardware, mostly weapons for urban warfare like assault rifles, heavy machine-guns and rocket launchers. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media.

    Iran also has allegedly trained about 20,000 troops for Shi’ite militia. Well, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s anything to recover from Iraq by the time January, 2017 comes around.
