The zipper robot promises a future free of embarrassing open flies.
But will it be able to avoid a Something About Mary moment?
The Tim Allen version of the two drum digging robot might be useful for creating habitat trenches on mars except it doesn’t seem to have replaceable teeth. Reminds me of that first little mars rover that didn’t have rechargeable batteries.
A robot is a combination of two things; the articulating mechanical part and the control software. The mechanical part can have different kind of motive power and joints, but it’s the imagination of the programmer that makes the thing fascinating. Give any programmer a robot and they’ll come up with something… hopefully not like Wolowitz.
