…could usefully break the national myth about our “Ivy League elites.”
Actually, it’s only a myth among the self-proclaimed “elites.” I don’t think the country at large has ever bought into it.

If Obama hasn’t already destroyed the image of an “Ivy League elite,” no one can.
Scott Walker can ensure a balanced ticket by picking either Newt Gingrich, PhD or Condi Rice, PhD for VP. The obvious campaign tactic against Scott Walker is that we need book smarts instead of “street smarts” (I put that in quotes because “street smarts” usually turns out to mean “agrees with us”) and the obvious campaign tactic against Gingrich or Rice is to raise doubts about book smarts. It will be very hard for Democrats to fight a two-front war.
