The American Spectator has published a response, but Colebatch remains clueless.
It's a strange world in which we have to explain the advantages of private enterprise over Chinese communism to "conservatives" at @AmSpec.

Colebatch’s response does illustrate one or two items in its cluelessness. In particular, his harping on about military advantage as his previous theme illustrates one of the reasons for conservatives being against space free enterprise. They see space as inherently _part of_ the military. Thus it should be run by the same lockstep, cost-plus system that has brought us impossibly expensive fighters and other equipment.
You have to admit, the SLS is a fair competitor to the kind of insane expense and time lost dragging down availability of fighter jets. Yet Colebatch refuses to see that kind of waste, while claiming that _one_ company’s misfortune in private sector space is the reason why private sector space is apparently irrelevant.
