Unlike us, Iran is in it to win it.
But Barack Obama (and the Democrats in general) don’t like the idea of the U.S. “winning wars.” They just like to “end” them. Unless they’re wars on Fox News, or Republicans.

Barrack and the dems are fighting for their side. It just isn’t our side.
This is why they take such offense when they’re patriotism is questioned. Unlike dems of old that did put the nation first, these do not.
You lie, was the truth. We should never back away from the truth.
“Unless they’re wars on Fox News, or Republicans.”
Or Christmas.
Or the free market.
Or men.
Or our allies (especially Israel).
Or the Constitution.
Or the Bill of Rights.
Or the states.
Or (fill in the blank).
I still get hung up on how bizarro world this situation is. Just a few years ago Iran and Syria were helping ISIS fight in Iraq.
I wonder if Obama has learned the lesson he taught Iraq, that the USA will drop you like a brick at the whim of a President, or if it is something he will need to learn from Iran.
Like hell they were. ISIS is Al-Qaeda. Members of Al-Qaeda practice Wahhabism Sunni Islam. A lot of the people working for Al-Qaeda come from places like Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Assad is Alawite and Iran is a theocratic Shiite state.
Syria and Iran support Hezbollah against Israel.
You might have been poorly informed that is all.
