Merry Christmas, Rand. And a Merry Christmas to the other commenters.
I had all of the Major Matt Mason toys, including the super-bizarro robot. The hamster-ball thing was great too. No idea what happened to them all…I do still have most of my late-60s Hot Wheels collection, and also the battery powered train that ran on Hot Wheels style tracks. No, I have zero idea what they might be worth (if anything).
Dang, I wish they’d repop those Major Matt Mason toys. Or update them. One of my oldest memories is playing with them when I was in daycare.
I had Major Matt Mason, and then I found somebody’s discarded Lt. Jeff Long, missing an arm IIRC. I didn’t let his disability stop him from helping the major protect space from evil aliens.
Yep. Matt Mason was one of my favorite toys back then. Even had the moon/space station. You can find a lot of that stuff on eBay if you want to re-build your collection.
I also recall the Creepy Crawler Thingmaker. Tons of fun. Even had a mold for Superman. 🙂
And, yes, a re-issue of the classic Hot Wheels (made the same way as the originals) cars would be great!
