To be fair, prison rape jokes are common across all spectrums of society.
I’ve long maintained that “liberals” (and by that I mean of course “tax-happy, coercion-addicted, power-tripping State-fellators”) have a strong sado-masochistic streak, with the “sado” part being dominant in some (the ones who really get off on forcing their will on others) and the masochistic part stronger in others (the neurotic, self-loathing “West Side liberals”–as we used to call them in NYC–who feel guilty over their affluence and want the State to punish them for it by taxing them). It wouldn’t surprise me if some libs got off on fantasies of the Hive’s enemies being buggered in prison. Those of you who read THE FOUNTAINHEAD may remember when the villain, Ellsworth Toohey, reveals his true colors in a monologue wherein he states that he hopes the hero, Howard Roark, gets sent to prison so that sadistic guards can beat him when he gets uppity. As with many of Rand’s villains, Toohey once seemed like an unfair caricature of a Leftist; but in the decades since THE FOUNTAINHEAD and ATLAS SHRUGGED were published, the Left has more and more “shown its ass” (as Southerners like to say)–especially since “Wesley Mouch” got elected president, with “Ivy Starnes” waiting in the wings to succeed him–and Toohey just seems more and more like your average “liberal,” only more honest about his intentions and motivation.
