Tea Parties? Prosecute them without evidence!
Unions? No problem.
If she didn’t have double standards, she’d have none at all.

Hey, those unions only failed to report $60 million in political spending it is not like they might have said something political in an email thus jeopardizing the time/money/politics ratio of being a non-profit.
What kind of other shenanigans are Democrat activist groups up to? What would we learn if they went through the full monty like Tea Party groups?
I don’t see the usual apologists in yet, so let me throw out a consideration here. If Lerner (and who knows who else) is allowed to get away with the persecution of opposition groups via use of the IRS, perhaps those apologists should consider who will be around to abuse that power in a Republican administration. Labor unions might end up losing their tax exempt status due to the games they played in the recent past, or merely because they supported the wrong candidate in the previous election cycle.
What goes around, comes around. Perhaps, they should worry now about being on the receiving end of similar abuse, rather than wait for it to happen.
In case you missed it, the linked article is about something Lerner did in 2007.
Why would you think she wouldn’t do exactly the same thing today, if she still had the power?
Sorry if I was too subtle. My point is that, based on this example, Lerner’s behavior doesn’t seem to be much affected by which party controls the White House.
So it’s OK to have a permanent bureaucracy that’s biased against one party?
Yes, Lerner has a pattern of giving Democrats a free ride while persecuting Republicans. Her dastardly deeds even go back to when she worked at the FEC and extorted Republicans. How could a person with such a long record of abusing her power as a civil servant not only stay employed in the federal government but also keep getting promotions and bonuses?
“perhaps those apologists should consider who will be around to abuse that power in a Republican administration. ”
Oh Democrats are not concerned. They have a firm grip on government workers from management on down. It would take a massive purge of existing government workers for the tide to turn against the Democrats.
