  1. This is sort of like on Richard Fernandez blog some while ago, commenting on a Clancy-esque novel set in the future where the aircraft carrier “Hillary Clinton” was named after “the most resolute wartime president America ever had.”

However conservatives disagree with Hillary Clinton, there is this belief, perhaps a wishful fantasy, that Ms. Clinton would have this kind of “catches bullets in her teeth and spits them back” toughness in dealing with our foreign adversaries as she deals with domestic political opponents.

If Hillary Clinton really pounded back a few drinks and let people know what she really thought about Mr. Obama, dunno, that would give here “street cred” in some quarters. I think that people would welcome signs of toughness and “telling it like it is.” Given that this sounds like wish fulfillment, what say you Jim on the accuracy of this report and of the quoted book?

    1. Hilary Clinton has been heavily involved in politics at the top levels for forty years. Do you honestly think she gets drunk and accidentally blurts out the truth?

Everything the woman does is calculated with Machiavellian precision.

      1. Well, I think Paul is on the right track – if by some miracle she gets to the Oval Office, we need to keep her sauced.

        1. We need to get Hillary! sauced in front of a microphone before she can be elected. If we’re lucky she’ll let out something we can use to stave off disaster.

  2. This is just her getting ready for her run – she knows Obama will be an albatross, and she is trying to distance herself.

  3. To be fair to Hillary, she was far and away the best Secretary of State in Obama’s administration, and far from the worst person to have held her Senate seat. So I’m sure her opinion is meaningful to some degree.

  4. The Lioness of Tusla has proven herself to be limitlessly cold, calculating, arrogant, cruel, manipulative and a repetitive liar (e.g. dodging sniper bullets in Tusla).

A vote for her is a vote for a Bad Person ™. A vote for a Bad Person is a vote for calamity, distress, destruction, disappointment, cruelty, misery.

It’s every bit as simple as that.

  5. They did say that Ulysses S. Grant made better decisions as both general and President after a few belts. Hillary might be the same, but Grant had seen enough horrors (Civil War etc.) that you could excuse it. Hillary, not so much.

Well, marriage to Billy Jeff, sharing the NY Senate gig with Chuckie Schumer and having to be around the Smartest Man in The Oval Office, maybe a l’il bit.

  6. Bill pulled Barack toward him and whispered in his ear: “Can I talk to you privately?” Barack’s heart skipped a beat. “Of course, lets talk in my bedroom”. Sitting on the bed, Bill said “This can’t leave this room.” Barack took Bill’s measure, and said solemnly: “of course, this is just between the two of us.”

Silly? Then read the following excerpt from alleged journalist Edward Klein’s book. I defy anyone to read the excerpt and not laugh.

Never mind the content . Just answer this: how did all these completely private conversations get reported, so, um, vividly?

    1. Ya, a lot of these types of books are junk but remember how Democrats reacted to books about Bush?
