We need these to get operational soon, because really they are just square 1. Then we can move past them and regain a bit of operational experience in sending crews into space, plus we can put more work into building space stations and other spacecraft and then actually achieving anything worthwhile in manned spaceflight.
It’s good to see so many to/from orbit vehicles in the bull pen. The next step is getting experience with a refuelable ship only meant for going from orbit to orbit. This should actually be a simpler and cheaper vehicle under much less stress.
Not a huge amount of info in this story, but it was nice to see something in the establishment press about space that at least had no misinformation or out-and-out howlers.
